Amazon is issuing credits to advertisers who were affected by a glitch that caused prices of some goods to be displayed as 1p on Friday evening.

The glitch, which was first reported by The Verge, occurred between 7 pm and 10 pm on Friday, when many shoppers were making last-minute Christmas purchases.

Amazon said that the glitch was caused by a disruption in its Northern Virginia data centers. The company has not yet said how many advertisers were affected by the glitch, but it is offering credits to those who were.

Advertisers who were affected by the glitch can contact Amazon for more information.
